Description

Now is the time for spring wildflowers.  They don't last long and every week there is something new.  Kokiwanee Nature Preserve in Wabash county has a great assortment of wildflowers starting with snow trillium in late march and ending with firepink in May.  In between those time are bloodroot, dutchman's breeches, trout lily, marsh marigolds, virginia bluebells, large trillium and many others.  We will meet in the parking lot at the address listed and hike into the preserve to see what we can discover.  Bring your macro lens if you have one, a tripod, flash with some kind of diffuser if you are inclined to use flash.  I also find it helpful to have a small trash bag at hand in case you need to kneel down.  Hope to see you there!!
